What a Difference a Year Makes

We did our usual new years day stroll along the south side of the river Thames this morning, between Butlers Wharf and up to London Bridge, not very far but enough to work up an appetite for lunch! Last year it was freezing cold but bright and clear, today it was damp, cloudy but mild.

I'm leaping into  2011 positive and with lots of new challenges! I have decided to take part in the Sketch Book Challenge, my drawing isn't brilliant, but I'm going to give it my best effort and see where it leads! And positive,  I've felt very negative about things lately, but things are going to change...........

  1. At start for MG aleady! Watching the fireworks, I was thinking about how I could re-create the scene in textile form. Good job Howard can't read my mind.

  2. The photos look great, good luck with the Sketchbook challenge, I have looked at it a few times today and think I may just have a go at it. Keep drawing, I start and think its rubbish, sometimes it is and sometimes it works out, you never can tell, just enjoy what you do. and thanks for the comment

  3. Like you I have lots of positive thoughts and ideas for 2011. A day late but at least today I have kicked myself into gear.
Pleased with myself this afternoon as I declined chips as I walked along the promenade between Walton on the Naze and Frinton on Sea.
